Music Teachers Association of Central Arkansas is a professional organization of musicians
dedicated to promoting and advancing excellence in music education.

The purpose of MTACA is to support and actively encourage the study of music in the area.

We continually increase our knowledge in music, upgrade our professional standards, and promote excellence in music through the latest teaching techniques.

We are affiliated with Arkansas State Music Teachers Association (ASMTA) and Music Teachers National Association (MTNA)

Mike Springer received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in piano performance from the University of North Texas, and maintains an active schedule as a pianist, teacher, composer/arranger for Alfred Publishing Co., and adjudicator.   He has performed in concerts and recitals throughout the world, served as a church pianist for over 25 years, and performs regularly in Dallas with his jazz quartet. He also maintains an award-winning studio of approximately 30 students of all ages from across the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Mr. Springer has written numerous piano solos, duets, pieces for small and large ensembles, and has written and produced music for radio, film, and both regional and nationally televised commercials. His trio for piano, clarinet and trombone entitled “NOLA” was commissioned by MTNA and was premiered at the MTNA convention in Las Vegas in 2015.
