One or more scholarships may be available to teachers with students in financial need who need help in order to continue private study. The amount will be determined dependent upon the fund balance, the majority of which comes from the Playathon fundraiser.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Teacher must be a member of MTACA with current dues paid.
- Student must be currently studying with an MTACA teacher.
- Teacher may submit only one application in a given year.
- Past teacher recipients may re-apply.
PROCEDURE:
- Deadline for application is June 1 (of each year).
- Teacher downloads an application form from MTACA.org/downloads.
- Teacher completes the application and sends back to Chairperson by noted deadline.
- Applications are screened by a Scholarship Committee.
- President and Treasurer are notified of Committee decision.
- Teacher recipients are notified by June 15 via text and email.
- Scholarship winners are notified by their teachers.
